High School: What Was In Your Locker?

Thinking about high school brings back all kinds of memories.  Some include the friends I have while others remind me of how important reading has been to me for my entire life.  When there was free time in class, instead of gossiping with friends, you could find me with my nose buried in a book.  People often said that I was weird because of this but I never really cared.  I was happy and that was mattered.

Some teens had mirrors or pictures up in their locker that would put a smile on their face.  I was different.  I can still remember what was in the steel locker I used in high school.  On the top would be my school books and folders.  On the bottom was a stack of mysteries, thrillers and chick-lit.  I would really be interested to know what my blog followers kept in their lockers.

The only thing that ever went into my locker was my lunch and my coat. I wasn't big on decorating and I didn't want to go back to my locker 100 times a day so I just carried everything with me in my back pack.

Here in Australia we don't have lockers at school (well at least we didn't when I was a student). But my school bag would always be filled with the books i was reading! I used to love getting the bus to school because it meant that I could spend that time reading away! Like you, books have always been an important part of my life and I'd much rather be caught up in a good story than gossiping amongst friends (although a good gossip is sometimes nice!).

I run a locker maintenance company in the UK. When I was at school I had pictures etc but we tend to find much more interesting things lingering in the darkness.
